Taking on the world! and WIWW

So I have spent every night and pretty much all of my spare time since Sunday studying for a Biology exam that I had coming up. And I am proud to say that after 3 days of studying I think I aced my test! I also found out today that I got a hundred on a quiz we took last week in World Literature. So today I just feel like I can take on the world and nothing is gonna bring me down! :D

This is what I wore to take my test and to the rest of my classes today:

Blazer: Macy's:::Top: Macy's:::Jeans: Macy's

It was comfy and absolutely perfect for the chilly morning and cold classrooms, and it also made me feel really confident and prepared for my classes. Now i've heard this a thousand times but it really is true, if you dress well for class and look prepared and put together you will pay attention and listen and absorb information better than if you roll out of bed and wear a t-shirt and sweatpants. Next time someone falls asleep in class take a close look at what they are wearing. Twenty bucks says sweatpants and a t-shirt.

For more information on what to wear and not wear to class see my post here.

Here is a close up of my top.
I love this shirt because the flower print is pretty and the shirt is so comfy!

Here is a close up of my necklace which is from Harvies, a little jewelry store in my hometown.
And my ring, which I think I wear almost on a daily basis cause it's my favorite ring, which is from NY & Company.

I'm officially ready to take on the world! Would you like to join me? :)

Surprise hair color change!

So I have been wanting to dye my hair for a while. Generally because I like to go lighter reddish brown in the summer, and dark brown in the fall and winter. So with the temperature cooling down and my urge to wear boots growing stronger, I was also itching to dye my hair to its signature fall dark brown.

The only thing was I had not been satisfied with the dye that I had used last time I dyed my hair. So I decided to take the plunge and try this newfangled foam dye system. I used this one specifically:

First off, I found that it was really easy to use, and the gloves fit me better than most gloves that come with hair dye. Second, after dying my hair and using the conditioner it smells AH-MAZING! The color is also true to what the box says its supposed to be, a major plus. Haha.

Annnnnnd Now for the before and after! :)

I'm in love! And officially ready for it to be fall, boots and scarves here I come!

Crazy Fan Night!

So once upon a time there was a night that was called crazy fan night at the volleyball game. And so that meant that shirt making was in order! And I happen to have an awesome friend who has access to a machine to cut out stencils where she works so she whipped up a stencil, we picked up some shirts, acrylic paint, and VIOLA these fantastic shirts were born!

This first picture is my outfit for the day!

Shirt: DIY:::Shorts: Khols:::Shoes: Younkers

This picture is a close up of the sleeves. One side I cut holes and then laced it back up and the other is just pulled together and tied with a ribbon. (I'm thinking I might do a tutorial on how to do the corset shoulder. Yes or No? :))

And I took this picture in my car when I got to school this morning. Happy Wednesday!

This shirt is actually just part of an outfit that I am going to be wearing later tonight to the volleyball game. It is crazy fan night, so craziness is in order, haha. Stop back by tomorrow to see pictures of my entire crazy fan outfit!
